The exchange student program between the Hebrew University and the Oklahoma University is funded by The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation. Every year a select group of students from each university travels to the other for one week. They take part in lectures and training sessions that expose them to a variety of cultures and different treatment methods, such as the Ultra-Orthodox community in Israel and the Native Americans in the Oklahoma. In addition to the professional program, students stay at each other’s homes and explore their surrounding area to learn and experience unique art, culture and nature. All these are part of the cultural and learning experience, collectively enabling students to learn from one another and encouraging them to consider embracing changes in their own countries, which may improve all aspects of child wellbeing.
The program scheduled for 2020 is currently postponed due to the pandemic.
