Workshop description: this will be a training/presentation about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), focusing on the developmental effects of prenatal substance exposure. Training objectives include reviewing commonly used substances during pregnancy and their impact on child development, understanding the clinical features and diagnostic considerations of FASD, and discussing evidence-based interventions and supports shown to improve outcomes for individuals affected by FASD.

Presenter’s bio: Dr. Raymee Sickler is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician in Tulsa. She completed her medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and her pediatric residency at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. She pursued a 3-year fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. Dr. Sickler then returned to Tulsa to set up a DBP practice in Tulsa, where she sees a range of children with developmental and behavioral challenges, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
