Workshop Description: This full-day immersive training is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to provide trauma-informed, compassionate care to people who have experienced human trafficking. Trauma-Informed Care: It’s Who You Are focuses on person-first approaches that honor each individual’s dignity and resilience, while also giving an opportunity to practice asking difficult questions in high stress situations. Trauma-informed care is more than a framework—it’s a way of being for those who serve survivors of human trafficking. Participants will engage in reflective exercises and experiential learning to deepen their connection to trauma-informed practices. The workshop will focus on building trust, promoting safety, and fostering resilience in survivors while acknowledging the impact of trauma on both clients and providers.
